You may have read my post of Paris. Infact this was my first post and first day that things started to go right for me on this Europe trip. I would have to say that the Sandemans New Europe Tours has something to do with this.

I found them online and figured… hmm free walking tour of the city, what have I got to loose. I happened to like walking but even if you dont, you will not notice that you are walking.
My tour guide’s name was Linda, I thought she did a brilliant job. Linda was able to answer every question I asked. She took great delight into giving little pieces of trivia knowledge about the city. Having lived in the city for years there wasnt anything I came across that she couldnt answer

The tour works on tips at the end of the tour and I think also on doing such a good job that you end up upgrading to another of there paid tours or their ultra fun pub crawl.

I found the tour funny, informative, entertaining, insightful and above all the best way to find out about a city. Its not hard to walk around admiring a city and taking cool photos to add to your facebook albums but there seems to be something much more rewarding and worth it to know the history and reasons behind these cool buildings.

At the end of the tour they even took us to a place where i could get cheese and wine (in the expensive district for not so expensive) ticking of the main goal of Paris to eat cheese and wine. (there were other options, this was just my preference)
